Asia - Africa Confrence Museum






Konfrensi Asia – Afrika (Asia – Afrika confrence) museum was located in Asia – Afrika street in Bandung, West Java. It was build in 1980 to celebrate 25th years Asia – Afrika confrence and oficially opened by Mr. Soeharto, the 2nd Indonesia president, on April, 24th 1980.
Asia – Africa confrence was held in Bandung on18th – 24th  April 1955. The background of this confrence because on the time there is a same of fate among Asia and Africa Nations and resulted some decisions for Asia and Africa Nations, for example the Nations that attendanced in Asia – Afrika confrence decided to didn’t follow the block, both west block and east block, or in Indonesia known as gerakan non-blok.
There are so many interesting matters inside the museum, for example there are so many collection flags of Asia and Africa Nations. More than 200 flags stand in the front of confrence room. There are also original chairs that used in Asia – Africa first confrence in 1955.
In April 2005 held the second confrence in the same place to celebrate 50th Asia – Africa confrece.
